Why I Wrote A Woman’s Business — and Why the Audiobook Feels Full Circle

I’ve been thinking a lot about why I made this book in the first place.

A Woman’s Business: This Is How You Build didn’t come from me trying to become a business guru. It came from actually building things while life was still life—work, family, creative ideas, schedules, responsibilities, all of it.

I wanted to create the kind of business book I would actually want to use: something practical enough to pull out when the excitement of a new idea wears off and you’re sitting there thinking, ‘Okay… so what do I actually do with this?’

I wanted a business book that respects real life

There is a lot of business advice that assumes your whole life is your business. Wake up earlier. Post more. Work harder. Scale faster. Be everywhere.

That has never been the kind of business I wanted to build.

I believe you can be ambitious and still want a business that fits your actual life. You can care about money, growth, and doing excellent work without making your business your entire personality. You can build something serious without living in a constant state of urgency.

The goal isn’t to build the loudest business. It’s to build one you understand, can run, and actually want to keep.

What the book actually helps you do

The book is built around decisions. Not hype. Not ‘believe in yourself’ for ten chapters straight. Actual decisions.

  • Figure out which business idea deserves your energy.

  • Choose a business model that makes sense for your strengths, capacity, and real life.

  • Turn what you do into an offer people can actually understand.

  • Create simple systems so everything does not have to live in your head.

  • Show up consistently without feeling like visibility has to become a performance.

  • Know when something needs refining—and when you actually need to change direction.

That’s really the heart of it: giving you a clearer way to think so you’re not rebuilding your business every time you get a new idea, have a slow week, or see somebody else doing something that looks exciting online.

And yes… the audiobook is coming 🎧

I’m really excited about this part.

Some books you want to sit down with, highlight, and write all over. But sometimes you need to hear something while you’re driving, cleaning up, getting ready, walking, working, or handling the other hundred things happening in your day.

And because so much of my world has always revolved around music and audio, bringing this book into an audio format feels a little full circle for me.

The audiobook is coming soon, and I can’t wait for you to be able to experience the book that way too.

Who I really wrote it for

I wrote this for the woman who knows she can build something, but wants a calmer and clearer way to do it.

Maybe you have three ideas and don’t know which one deserves your attention. Maybe you already have a business, but parts of it still feel scattered. Maybe you’re rebuilding after a pause. Maybe you’re creative, capable, and tired of advice that makes business sound way more complicated than it needs to be.

I hope this book feels like sitting down with somebody who isn’t going to hype you up for twenty pages and then leave you with no plan. I want you to finish a chapter knowing what you need to think about, what you need to decide, and what your next move is.

That’s what A Woman’s Business is for.
